LoRaWAN GATEWAY · PRODUCT SELECTION

Choose a gateway for the site, from radio coverage to edge services

GDI51 is built for buildings and indoor campuses; GDO51 is built for demanding outdoor sites. Both connect to mainstream LoRaWAN network servers and can bring ThinkLink, data retention and operations to the edge.

04 · TWO DEPLOYMENT PATHS

Use transparent forwarding or run edge services on site

A LoRaWAN gateway first connects end devices to a network server. When a local loop is required, the same hardware can also host NS, decoding and application capabilities at the edge.

  1. 01 / RADIO

    LoRaWAN end devices

Sensors, meters and EdgeBus collectors connect over multi-frequency LoRaWAN.

  2. 02 / GATEWAY

    GDI51 / GDO51

Handle multi-channel radio, backhaul links and on-site network management.

  3. 03 / NETWORK

    External or built-in NS

Connect to ThinkLink, ChirpStack and TTN, or enable the built-in network server.

  4. 04 / APPLICATION

    Business systems

Deliver data to ThinkLink Cloud, an on-site application or a customer platform.

A / COMPATIBILITY

Mainstream network-server support

Connect to ThinkLink, ChirpStack, The Things Stack / TTN and network servers using Basic Station or GWMP.

  • Basic Station LNS / CUPS
  • GWMP / Packet Forwarder
  • Dual network-server configuration
B / EDGE

Optional on-site edge services

Support built-in ThinkLink and LoRaWAN NS to keep decoding, history, thing models and dashboards on site.

  • Local database and history
  • Thing models and application decoding
  • On-site dashboard
C / BACKHAUL

Multiple backhaul links

Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G cover different field-network conditions with connectivity checks and link selection.

  • Ethernet
  • Wi-Fi AP / backhaul
  • 4G CAT1 (confirm regional bands)
D / OPERATIONS

Configuration and remote operations

Configure locally with WebConfigure and reduce operations cost through NMS, remote upgrades and secure access.

  • WebConfigure
  • NMS and remote upgrades
  • OpenVPN and status statistics
